Nightfall AI Extension: How to Collect Logs

Purpose

To collect logs for the extension directly in the Chrome browser.

Environment

  • Google Chrome: All Versions

  • Nightfall Extension: v8.10.0 and higher

Resolution

  1. Within Chrome, navigate to the Options menu for the Nightfall extension.

    1. From the Chrome bar, click on the Extensions icon.

    2. Find the Nightfall extension > click on the three-vertical-dots menu.

    3. Click on "Options".

  2. Change the URL path to include "?showLogs=true" and press enter.

Example:

chrome-extension://jgmgecncmjklkabkejnjfgfkglapfgek/src/extension-popup/options/options.html?showLogs=true

NOTE: The value, "true", is case-sensitive. Confirm it is lowercase.

  1. When the page loads press the Export button at the top-right.
