Nightfall Extension: How to Collect Extension Logs

Purpose

To collect the extension logs for the extension itself within a browser

Environment

  • Google Chrome: All Versions

  • Nightfall Extension: v8.10.0+

Resolution

  1. From Google Chrome, click the puzzle icon at the top right (Extensions).

  2. Locate the Nightfall Extension and click the three vertical-dots menu.

  3. Click Options.

  4. Change the URL to include: ?showLogs=true.

    Example: 

    chrome-extension://jgmgecncmjklkabkejnjfgfkglapfgek/src/extension-popup/options/options.html?showLogs=true

  5. Reproduce the issue.

  6. Click the export button at the top right.

  7. Provide logs to Nightfall Technical Support.
